We're just getting started.

Welcome

Founded in 2023, we’re a non-profit organization dedicated to
improving water quality and soil health, combating climate change, and promoting voluntary human population limits

Our Areas of Concern

Land Stewardship

The Middle River Reserve is our first land stewardship project. The Reserve's 210 acres are located near Carlisle, Iowa along the west bank of the Middle River. Certain areas will be managed to create native prairie habitat. Prescribed fire will be used to rehabilitate the entire site.

Climate Crisis

We have a book in the works that explores why so little progress has been made in solving the climate crisis. The book looks at proximate and root causes for the inaction.

Overpopulation Awareness

99.999% of all environmental problems are people problems. Few people seem willing to accept the fact that 8 billion of us on earth is not sustainable. We believe all girls should have the right to a minimum of a high school education, and all women have the right to determine the size of their families.

Our mission is to work with others to prevent nuclear war. We realize climate change plus overpopulation plus diminishing natural resources is a recipe for civil strife and possibly nuclear war.

Lael & Tre Co-directors

Come visit the Middle River Reserve.

The Middle River Reserve is soon to have a mowed path stretching from the field entrance on 165th Place all the way east to the Middle River.  We’re looking for donations to pay for a sign at the field entrance and to pay for mowing the path.

Prairie Vegetation

In the Midwest United States, prairie vegetation has created some of the world's most fertile soils. We promote planting native prairie vegetation for the purpose of restoring depleted soil.
